We’ve watched an increasingly fragmented industry generate more demand with very little innovation. Today’s customers want on-demand, artisanal arrangements that last. Flowers should make an impression, and make people smile.

Our History

For 4 generations, we’ve been florists. In 1910, George Raptis arrived from the small village of Perista, Greece at just 12 years old. He sold flowers on the street corner of New York City working 365 days a year just to have room and board. A few years later, his two brothers arrived and they opened up our families first flower shop - The Raptis Brothers Florist on the Grand Concourse. With only a 6th grade education, the flower shop thrived late into the 1950s.

In 1956, George Raptis partnered with his new son-in-law William Dukas and relocated to Northern Virginia, opening our first outpost. For the next 25 years they served the Washington D.C. metropolitan area from the largest regional mall in the area. William’s son George took over in 1980 and has since created a National Flower company, Flower import company, Flower fulfillment center and a new local traditional florist.

In 2018, George and his son, Will, set out to redefine the floral industry and pioneer a direct delivery model for beautiful, farm-fresh flowers delivered within 2 hours, exactly as you see them on our website. We’re excited about this next chapter and invite you to join us on our journey.
