We receive and fill all orders in-house to ensure every delivery has our Send Smiles sense of artistry and reliability. Our flowers are farm direct, cold chain preserved, and Send Smiles delivered. With our expert floral designers, commitment to customer satisfaction, and determination to improve floral experiences, we are always taking orders and delivering beaming smiles.
The Team
Send Smiles is backed by years of experience, technology, and logistics spanning four generations. Since our start in 1910 on a New York City street corner, our company has proudly grown into a delivery service that puts customers first. CEO George Dukas is a third-generation florist with over 35 years of experience in all phases of the floral industry, including retail, national ecommerce, flower importing and fulfillment. Send Smiles President Will Dukas has seven years of experience running retail shops and overseeing import and fulfillment.
The Farmers
Send Smiles imports their flowers from farms in Colombia and Ecuador. These farms are selected for their quality, maintenance, technology, and socially-conscious, certified eco-friendly practices. One farm features lush flowers growing across two valleys in the high-altitude sierra of Ecuador. In these distinct microclimates, vibrant flowers grow in nutrient-rich, volcanic soil with clean water and twelve hours of sunlight year-round.'Our farmers work with all major flower breeders to introduce new varieties, ensuring our customers get the best and most popular flowers.

MPS Certification A+: A third-party verification that ensures the farms are focused on long-term environmental sustainability.
Flor Ecuador Certification: ensures compliance with Ecuadorian legislation on social and environmental issues to promote sustainable farming.
Farm employees receive medical care, food, daycare, transportation, and residential housing assistance.
